Q&A - Seventeen & Ailee Review

Q&A - Seventeen & Ailee

Hello Everyone! We are back for another song review~ To start off this month is Q&A by Seventeen and Ailee! Lets just say, this song is beyond amazing. The contrast between the rapping and the sweet vocals from Ailee and Woozi made this song probably one of my favorites this year! Just from the first couple of seconds of the song already got me hooked, especially with the cute music video that goes with it. I mean come on, those cute school uniforms made Seventeen look so adorable! Q&A is a very upbeat song with a catchy chorus and there are a little snippets of English lyrics throughout the song too! My favorite part is Ailee’s part when she sings “question and answer…~” And of course I love Vernon and S. Coup’s raps, they are very unique. There are so many things that I love about this song and its just perfect! hahah I just love it so much that its been on repeat the whole day.

By watching the music video, the song represents a relationship in which the girl asks certain questions which makes her boyfriend freeze up and trying to think of the “right” way to answer the question without making his girlfriend mad. You may have seen these in many Korean dramas (or real life relationships), where the girl asks if she looks any different or if the outfit she’s wearing makes her look fat AND the boyfriend must say the right thing or else everything goes downhill from there haha. I thought that was a cute concept for this song and the Seventeen boys were perfect actors trying to study the correct responses to anything their girlfriends would say. I was a little disappointed that Ailee did not make any appearance in the music video because she had a large portion in the song. Although the music video portrays the image of the boyfriend studying for the right answers whenever his girlfriend would ask, the English translations kind of say something different. It seems like a conversation between the girlfriend and boyfriend. So we hear their perspectives within the relationship. Instead of this asking questions and answering with “robotic” answers, they keep saying to tell each other what is on their mind. So I’m guessing to part away from the ideal relationship that we see from dramas and to make their relationship into something different (do you know what I mean? haha) and to be comfortable with each other.

This song is great for the Winter season, so if you have not already listened to it, go on YouTube and listen! Leave a comment below about what you think about the song and your first impressions and if you enjoyed the song as much as we do! Don’t forget to support Seventeen and Ailee~
