Q&A - Seventeen & Ailee Review

Q&A - Seventeen & Ailee

Hello Everyone! We are back for another song review~ To start off this month is Q&A by Seventeen and Ailee! Lets just say, this song is beyond amazing. The contrast between the rapping and the sweet vocals from Ailee and Woozi made this song probably one of my favorites this year! Just from the first couple of seconds of the song already got me hooked, especially with the cute music video that goes with it. I mean come on, those cute school uniforms made Seventeen look so adorable! Q&A is a very upbeat song with a catchy chorus and there are a little snippets of English lyrics throughout the song too! My favorite part is Ailee’s part when she sings “question and answer…~” And of course I love Vernon and S. Coup’s raps, they are very unique. There are so many things that I love about this song and its just perfect! hahah I just love it so much that its been on repeat the whole day.

By watching the music video, the song represents a relationship in which the girl asks certain questions which makes her boyfriend freeze up and trying to think of the “right” way to answer the question without making his girlfriend mad. You may have seen these in many Korean dramas (or real life relationships), where the girl asks if she looks any different or if the outfit she’s wearing makes her look fat AND the boyfriend must say the right thing or else everything goes downhill from there haha. I thought that was a cute concept for this song and the Seventeen boys were perfect actors trying to study the correct responses to anything their girlfriends would say. I was a little disappointed that Ailee did not make any appearance in the music video because she had a large portion in the song. Although the music video portrays the image of the boyfriend studying for the right answers whenever his girlfriend would ask, the English translations kind of say something different. It seems like a conversation between the girlfriend and boyfriend. So we hear their perspectives within the relationship. Instead of this asking questions and answering with “robotic” answers, they keep saying to tell each other what is on their mind. So I’m guessing to part away from the ideal relationship that we see from dramas and to make their relationship into something different (do you know what I mean? haha) and to be comfortable with each other.

This song is great for the Winter season, so if you have not already listened to it, go on YouTube and listen! Leave a comment below about what you think about the song and your first impressions and if you enjoyed the song as much as we do! Don’t forget to support Seventeen and Ailee~

Daehan Minguk MANSAE! (Not the Triplets, but the group SEVENTEEN)

MANSAE - SEVENTEEN

Just a couple months after their "Adore U" promotions ended, Seventeen is back with their 2nd mini album with their promotion song "Mansae." I have been waiting for their comeback, even though its been a couple months, and I am already loving their song! Its very upbeat and has a catchy chorus! One of my favorite parts of the song is when Vernon and S.Coups rap, but compared to their parts in "Adore U" they did not rap as much. But that gave everyone else in the group a longer time to sing/rap. Their dance is also adorable, its a step up from "Adore U" and I love how they still added a little of the choreography into the song. It is more intricate, especially during the first verse and very clean. Overall, this song is incredible and it shows all the hard work and talents they put in.

Lets talk about the rest of the album. Seventeen's album is coming out in two different versions, a 'Hide' & 'Seek' version. So if you want to show you support for the group, you should buy both versions! Plus, you get twice the photos and possibly twice the photo cards? haha. You still get to see the songs from the subunits within the group which is what I love about this group.

For the hip hop subunit, their song 표정관리 (Fronting) is a fusion between all the subunits. You get to hear the wonderful raps from Vernon, Wonwoo, S.Coups and Mingyu and then the vocals from Hoshi and Woozi. I have not found any english translation for the song yet, but just by listening to the song it is very cutesy. As you can tell, I'm pretty biased towards the hip hop subunit, but I love everyone! haha

Other than their promotion song, they have been performing another hit on their album called 'Rock.' This song is also one of my favorites.  I love the flow of the song, but when I first heard the song the chorus caught my attention. When they say, "You take me to the top and straight down like a gyro drop" I thought it was kind of random and funny at first. Let me know what you think of the song and if you have not seen the performance yet, check it down below!

If you have any comments on the songs from this album or just want to express how much you love Seventeen comment down below! :D
